Purpose
This article explains how to register individual Artworks manually in ArtX Cloud. -
Intended users
Customer support staff or gallery staff registering an Artwork in ArtX Cloud for the first time -
Prerequisites
You must be signed in to ArtX Cloud.
The relevant Artist, Storage location, and other referenced records must already be registered.
2. Instructions

Open the Artwork.

Start registration from “+ Add new artwork”

Add an Artwork image
Upload an image of the Artwork in the “Add image” section.

Specify whether the Artwork has an Edition
Select the appropriate option under “Rarity”
After registering the Artwork with “No Edition,” you cannot add an Edition later. Select “Edition” if one may be required in the future.

Enter the Artist and Artwork title
Artist is required. Select an Artist from the dropdown and enter a title if applicable.

Enter the description and dimensions
Optionally enter a description, dimensions, and shape, including height, width, and depth.

Enter the year
Enter the year if known.
To enter a date range, clear “No date range” and enter the start and end years.
Example: 1990–2000

Enter the category and medium
Select “Category” and “Medium” from the dropdowns, or enter free text.
If the relevant category or medium is not listed, enter it in the free-text field.

Enter the Main ID
If you already use an internal management number, register it as the “Main ID.”

Add details
Review the information and click “Next”
・Add new storage
• No Edition: The Artwork detail screen appears after registration.
• Edition: The Edition information screen appears after registration.

3. Notes and Frequently Asked Questions
- You cannot add an Edition after registering an Artwork with “No Edition.”

When entering a year range, the input format depends on whether “No date range” is selected.
4. After Completion
- The registered Artwork appears in the “Artwork inventory list.”

You can edit the Artwork or add images later from the Artwork detail page.
